A Bird's Eye View into Nature's Reality

Take a journey into the secret world of wildlife with me and get a bird\’s eye view into the nest of one of our most beloved birds of prey, the Red-tailed Hawk. As you might expect from raptors, you will observe the brutality of nature, evidenced by the carnage of their feedings. As a surprise, you will also experience the softer side of raptors, witnessing how tender, precious and nurturing these birds can be while caring for their young. All other cohabitants of the Hawks\’ valley will be game for viewing as well! (All images and text Copyright © 2004 – 2011 – Maureen Keefe)

I am a MN transplant living in the wild and rugged Rocky Mountains of CO for the past 12 years.  When I was 10 years old I was given my first camera for my birthday (a 110 instant load).  I LOVED capturing the magic of nature on film.  I have always had a fascination with birds.  As a child I did pen and ink drawings of them.  I also had a nest and egg collection and thrilled in using my bird books and encyclopedias to identify them (birds, nests and eggs).  For my 12th birthday (my Golden Birthday!) I asked for a pair of African Red Billed Fire Finches and received them!

As an adult I was blessed with owning a Lutino Cockatiel named Precious (because she was!). Precious was an amazing teacher about energy.  I trained in Healing Touch (a form of Energy Work) and my bird gave me immediate feedback based on her responses.  That was the beginning of recognizing birds (and animals) perceive and respond to the frequencies we emmanate via our thoughts, words and emotions.

My interactions with the raptors in the valley have deepened my connection with nature, honed my observation skills and fed my soul.  These birds continue to call me to higher levels of mastery and self-awareness.  I invite you to soar with them along with me!

Soar with us!
